Our Story
TempGuard Heating & Air Conditioning was founded with one goal in mind: to build the kind of HVAC company we would want to hire ourselves.
RJ and Marissa began their journey together in 2017, and over the years, they shared a vision of creating something meaningful of their own. Through years of learning, planning, and building the foundation for what would become TempGuard, they developed a mission centered around honesty, quality workmanship, and providing customers with a better experience.
In 2021, RJ began his career in the HVAC industry and dedicated himself to mastering the trade, while Marissa focused on building the business operations and customer experience behind the scenes. Together, they combined their strengths to create a company built around trust, transparency, and genuine care for the people they serve.
As a woman-owned and Aggie-owned business, TempGuard is proud to serve homeowners and businesses throughout the Brazos Valley. RJ and Marissa believe customers deserve a company that values clear communication, honest recommendations, and treating every home or business with the same respect they would expect for their own.

Since entering the trade, he has pushed himself to continuously learn, improve, and understand the systems he works on at a deeper level. As a natural leader, RJ has built TempGuard around the values he believes matter most: knowledge, honesty, and doing things the right way. He takes pride in educating customers, explaining their systems clearly, and making sure they feel informed throughout the process.
RJ’s commitment to staying current with industry standards, technology, and safety practices is a reflection of the responsibility he feels toward every home and business he works in. Marissa brings the vision, organization, and leadership behind the business operations of TempGuard. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2021, she combined her passion for leadership and business with a desire to build a company centered around trust, professionalism, and exceptional service.
Known for her intentional approach and attention to detail, Marissa is always looking for ways to strengthen the business and create a better experience for every customer. From developing processes behind the scenes to ensuring every customer interaction feels seamless, she believes the little things matter.
Marissa’s goal is to build a company that customers can trust, employees can be proud of, and that reflects the same level of care and dedication she and RJ put into everything they do.
